Task Forces

The WGR Task Forces focus on creating educational programming and networking opportunities around timely federal and state policy issues and functional training for professional development. Types of events include periodic briefings, policy roundtables, expert panel discussions, and brown bag luncheons with policymakers and other government affairs professionals.

Members are encouraged to participate on task forces by attending monthly brown bag lunch meetings or helping to execute an event. If you are interested in receiving event emails and playing a greater role, consider joining a task force.

Non-members can join our interest group email list to receive event invitations as well as stay abreast on industry information. This is a great way to learn more about WGR and the benefits of membership.

The current task forces are:

Education
The Education Task Force helps our diverse membership advance their careers by enhancing their knowledge of education issues, providing a forum for discussion, expanding their network, exposing them to practitioners in schools and districts and introducing them to new technologies and tools that can improve their effectiveness and efficiencies. This group offers free members-only bi-weekly conference calls to share information and quarterly task force meetings with featured speakers and networking opportunities. We serve as a resource by providing information about and demonstrations of new tools to help our members grow and succeed professionally. We welcome and encourage the involvement of our members in planning briefings and networking events.
