What attracted you to WGR and how has it helped you personally & professionally? I was attracted to WGR because so many people I've met at my job from Hill staffers to lobbyists talked about the great benefits of the organization personally and professionally; and I'm excited to dive right in.

What originally brought you to Washington?
All of my friends had interned or worked on the Hill. I've always wanted to work in politics and policy but was never exposed to the Hill. After graduating from law school, I decided to save my money and move to DC to intern for the Congressional Black Caucus. It was one of the best decisions I've made in my entire life and I'm forever grateful to my family for supporting me.

What is your favorite part of your job? I simply enjoy every part of my job. I love being able to drive into Capitol Hill, staff my Congresswoman, work on legislation, and come up with effective solutions for the American people.

What advice do you have for young women entering the field? Research as much as you can, talk to as many people as you can, and try to get your foot in the door. Rather than concentrating on the title, concentrate on the experience.
