Favorite DC Restaurant: Fiola
Fun Fact: Ardent sea glass collector
About Courtney: Iím a mom of two (Andrew: 8 and Taylor: 6) with a wry sense of humor, a strong affinity for bargain shopping and I love to cook. I had the ultimate culture shock at 10 when my Dad announced we were moving to Knoxville, Tennessee away from my large Italian/Irish family in Boston. Iíve been in the DC area since 1999 and I feel fortunate to have spent the last 11 years at Raytheon.

What attracted you to WGR and how has it helped you personally & professionally?
I joined WGR shortly after I moved to Washington, DC to network and for continued professional development and the organization has done just that.

What has been your most rewarding accomplishment/what are you most proud of?
Work/life balance. I was able to reduce my work schedule when my kids were younger without taking a step back in my career and I am so glad I did it and had that time with them.

What skills do you think are most important in government affairs and why?
The ability to have an open mind, look at both sides of every issue, and to be respectful. Relationships and trust are the key to success in this town and with that, the rest will fall into place.

What inspires you?
My kids. I want to be a good role model to them and create an environment where they will strive.
