Favorite DC Restaurant: Cuba Libre, have to stick with my heritage
Hometown: Fredericksburg, VA
Fun Fact: I received a formal recommendation from former National Security Advisor Gen. James Jones to attend the Naval Academy, and then had a full impromptu tour of the White House.

What attracted you to WGR and how has it helped you personally & professionally? I was attracted to WGR by the attitude and kindness that I was met with from day one. As a young guy just starting my career, I went to several different networking type events around DC by myself, which is a difficult situation to put yourself in no matter your level of experience. Every WGR event I've attended I have been surrounded by intelligent and driven individuals, which immediately stood out to me and separates this organization from others. I have to especially thank Jamie and Mallika for encouraging me to keep participating from the beginning.

WGR is a great example of "you get what you give". This past summer I became a co-chair and started planning and executing events, while trying to figure out how to provide value and grow our Task Force, and in turn WGR. The natural networking and leadership experience stemming from this has been fantastic.

What advice do you have for young women entering the field?
There is a lot of great advice out there, but one thing that has been helpful in my career is to have curiosity, burning curiosity. This coupled with the confidence to pursue answers is a very powerful tool. I don't think you should ever be afraid to ask questions, but with the caveat of "is this the best time to ask this question?" and "can I google the answer to this question?" The person next to you always has something to teach you.

What has been your most rewarding accomplishment?
I'm the Godfather to my 4 year old brother, Finn. The day my parents told me they wanted me to take on this role was one of the most fulfilling moments in my life. I knew that it meant they trusted me and felt that there is least a modicum of responsibility in me. I must've made a good impression though, because a year later it was followed up to be the Godfather to my little cousin, Lucia. Never go against the family.

What is your favorite part about your day or job?
Talking to our clients, no question. We have some of the most interesting and intelligent individuals as clients with a wide variety of needs. It has taken time for me to gain the experience to really be able to field these calls, but now that I do it's one of the most fun parts of the day. Whether it's talking about current market conditions or answering financial planning questions, I'm always curious to pick up the phone to see who is calling. If you're reading this and think we have something in common feel free to reach out!
