Please join us for our annual professional development power lunch, where we discuss everything from how you know when it’s the right time to make a transition to the next level, what are the best ways to network, how to find the right fit job for you in the government relations field, and much more. We’ll hear form an experienced panel from different facets of government relations, and leave lots of time for questions and an open discussion.

Moderator: Brittany Seabury
 Brittany Seabury has more than 15 years of combined experience in stakeholder engagement, business development, sales and relationship management. She spent a total of eight years working as a Congressional staffer for two different Members of Congress. Five of those years were spent on Capitol Hill and three were as district director in Houston, TX.
Following her time as a senior Congressional aide, Brittany joined the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) as Senior Director of Member and Board Relations. In that role, she was responsible for managing relationships with Fortune 100 companies in the Southwest Region. She worked closely with CEO’s on the NAM’s Board of Directors as well as dozens of public affairs and government relations professionals in the oil and gas sector. Brittany left the NAM in early 2020 to launch her own coaching business, Flourish. She is a personal development coach specializing in spiritual development and workplace empowerment. She is passionate about creating spaces for women to connect with the truth of who they are and flourish in a life lived on purpose.
Brittany earned a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Texas A&M University and a master’s degree in Legislative Affairs from The George Washington University. She is attending iPEC and The Bible Seminary in Katy, TX.

 Charlyn Stanberry
Charlyn Stanberry serves as Chief of Staff for Representative Yvette D. Clarke (NY-09), the Vice Chair of the House Energy and Commerce Committee. Previously, Charlyn served as the Legislative Director and Counsel where she managed Rep. Clarke’s legislative
portfolio and oversaw her committee work. Prior to working for Rep. Clarke, Charlyn served as Vice President of External Affairs for a consulting firm, Counsel for the Multicultural Media, Telecom and Internet Council (MMTC) and Professional Staff
for the Congressional Black Caucus in the 113th Congress.
Charlyn earned her J.D. from Florida International University’s College of Law and her B.S.B.A. and M.P.A. from the University of Central Florida. In her spare time, she serves as an
adjunct professor at the University of the District of Columbia and in leadership roles with the Junior League of Washington and New Leaders Council DC.
 Brittany Bolen serves as the Associate Administrator of the Office of Policy and Senior Counsel to the Administrator of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. The Office of Policy oversees agency-wide regulatory development and environmental permitting reviews, and provides multi-disciplinary skills and expertise in areas such as environmental economics, environmental justice, and community revitalization. Prior to her appointment as Associate Administrator in July 2018, Brittany served as the Principal Deputy Associate Administrator for Policy and testified before Congress on EPA’s regulatory reform efforts.
Before joining EPA, Brittany was counsel for energy, environment and agriculture on the U.S. Senate Republican Policy Committee. Previously, she was counsel on the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee where she drafted legislation on and conducted oversight of environmental issues. She served the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on the Judiciary’s Subcommittee on Courts, Commercial and Administrative Law focusing on regulatory reform legislation. She started her career on Capitol Hill working on the energy and regulatory affairs portfolio for the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform.
Brittany received her J.D. from the George Mason University School of Law and her B.A. from the University of Florida.
 Patrice Stanley is a political and policy expert with a wealth of knowledge about the inner workings of Washington, D.C., and an unparalleled network of relationships. She has an impressive record of success helping clients achieve their objectives through lobbying, coalition building, strategic planning, grassroots outreach, campaign management, business development, impact investing, and message development. Patrice currently works as a contract consultant for public and private sector clients and political campaigns. Patrice worked for over 10 years at Wexler | Walker, a bipartisan government relations firm in Washington, D.C., serving as Vice President in her final three years with the company. Prior to working in the private sector, Patrice worked for ten years in state and federal government, including as a political appointee in the second term of the Clinton Administration and as a member of President Clinton’s National Presidential Advance Team.
Patrice has been active in state and local politics as a political and issue advocacy consultant for state and federal candidates, and for nonprofits and as a candidate for Maryland's House of Delegates. Patrice has served on several nonprofit boards of directors and is a member of influential professional organizations, including Chicago Area Public Affairs Group, the Network of Executive Women, Women in Government Relations, and the Washington Government Relations Group. In 2017, she collaborated with the Women’s Media Center, a nonpartisan nonprofit organization working to raise the visibility, viability and decision-making power of women and girls in media, to produce a public service announcement on the harassment and sexualization of female candidates for elected office. Patrice earned her bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Washington College in Chestertown, Maryland; and her Master's in Public Policy from the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy. Patrice’s writings have appeared in two academic and corporate journals.

Payment, Replacement & Refund Policy
WGR event registration fees must be paid in advance. If you are unable to attend, you may send a
substitute, however you are responsible for the difference in fees if the individual is a non-member. The deadline to receive a refund is three (3) business days prior to the event. The request must be received in writing, prior to the deadline.
Consent to use of Photographic Images
Registration and attendance at WGR events constitutes an agreement by the registrant to WGR’s use
and distribution of the registrant or attendee’s image or voice in photographs and videotapes.
