Event Description

Somatic and other practices are needed more than ever to cultivate courage and resilience when it comes to conversations about race, class, power and privilege. How do we begin to resource ourselves for such conversations, especially when they can produce so much anxiety and fear of hurting another and/or of being hurt?

Join Mona Khan and Tanara Bowie as they share a short centering practice and other resources, that underscore the need for self-care and resilience when facilitating and engaging in conversations about race or related challenges participants may be facing. Participants will have time to journal and ask questions during this interactive session.

Speakers: Tanara Bowie, Facilitator and Director of Coaching Services at The Nebo Company, and Mona Khan, FPrincipal at Chiron Strategic

Catch them at the Professional Women in Advocacy Conference on 11/9 - 11/11 and set up a one-on-one strategy session with her (included in registration fee)!

Tanara Bowie is a coach, facilitator, and writer who brings an inclusion lens informed by her background in research, communications and organizing across issues such as housing, environment, education and fair lending.
