She is the first female U.S. senator in West Virginia’s history.
Senator Capito is being honored for her continued support of WGR including meeting with members on Hill Day. She has gone from a member of the House to a Senator and is now Ranking member on EPW. She is trustworthy and true to her constituents and the issues she believes in. Senator Capito is bipartisan and works across the aisle whenever possible, especially with Democratic Senators. She puts strong women around her and exemplifies what we should all strive to emulate and we are thrilled to celebrate her this year. Representative Grace Napolitano (D-CA)

Rep Napolitano shared her time and expertise including teaching attendees how to make her famous guacamole and salsa, and sharing the best places in DC and LA to get good Mexican food. She is a member who cares deeply for her staff, which is why many of them have been with her for over a decade. She is a great friend to WGR and we are thrilled to celebrate her this year.
