Women in Government Relations (WGR) hosted it's fourth annual Period Product Drive during the month of October. Inspired by a donation drive held by Rep. Grace Meng which highlighted “period poverty” and the impact of the unaddressed natural need of menstrual hygiene products, WGR’s Personal & Professional Development Committee once again spearheaded the effort.
15,602 individual products were donated to the Greater DC Diaper Bank surpassing last year's product total by nearly 2,000 products! WGR is proud of our members and our community for their generosity—many women and girls in the DC region will benefit as a result.
