Excellence in Advocacy Awards Peer Judge Application

Excellence in Advocacy Awards Peer Judge Application

Application closes on June 1.

Volunteering to serve on the Advocacy Awards Peer Judge Selection Committee is a rewarding and uplifting experience. Everyday advocates across the country are dedicating themselves to representing their industry, cause or organization in the public policy arena. As a peer judge you are elevating your professional status as a champion of women and excellence in advocacy. You will also receive recognition at the awards program and in marketing materials. You must be a WGR member in good standing to serve. Learn more about the Excellence in Advocacy Awards Reception on November 9, 2020 here

The Excellence in Advocacy Awards Peer Judges will be part of a selection committee that will select finalists for the 2020 Excellence in Advocacy Awards. Committee members will be asked to review nominations from one of six categories:

  1. Excellence in a Federal Issue Campaign
  2. Excellence in a State Issue Campaign
  3. Excellence in a Campaign for Women Serving Women
  4. Excellence in Advocacy on a Controversial Issue
  5. Excellence in Advocacy by a Veteran Practitioner
  6. Excellence in Advocacy by an Up and Comer

Selection committee members will be asked to review and evaluate nominations based on set criteria. Committee members will review all nominations in their category and attend a selection meeting (in person or virtual) with peer reviewers in their category to select the finalists. Once finalists are selected in the first round of judging, the Bryce Harlow Foundation will select the final awardees.
