The Fellowship is a full, one-year commitment. Selected Fellows are asked to commit to learning and growing throughout the year by attending monthly check-ins with Fellowship alumnae, attending WGR signature events, and assisting with promotion of the Fellowship application once open for the next class. Below are additional guidelines for participation and how to get the most of your experience. During Your Fellowship:
Engage - Attend monthly touch base meeting with Fellowship alumnae
- Select and engage with your mentor at least once a quarter
- Join a policy Task Force and attend monthly meetings
- Select a Committee of interest and attend a meeting
- Attend a meet-and-greet with the Board of Directors
Attend Promote - Promote Fellowship application process to your networks
- Serve as an ambassador for WGR and the Fellowship at WGR events and other events around DC
- Share your experiences with photos on social media
- If scheduled, attend any fundraising events for the Fellowship
After Your Fellowship Year Concludes:- Write a blog for the WGR Blog on your experience as a Fellow or another topic related to their experience with WGR
- Renew your WGR membership
- Consider becoming Vice Chair of the Fellowship Committee
- Continue to participate in monthly meetings with Fellowship alumnae
- Continue to be an ambassador for the Fellowship
- Attend future Fellowship fundraisers and events
