Awards and Fellowship

WGR annually recognizes leaders in our field who support our mission and vision to create generations of powerful women advocates.

Member of Congress

The Member of Congress Award is designed to honor an exemplary woman leader who has supported WGR by either becoming an emeritus member; attending events such as a 20 to 1 or WGR Hill Day; or, by supporting and encouraging their staff to participate in WGR.

Public Sector

The Public Sector Award is designed to honor an exemplary woman leader who has supported WGR by either becoming a WGR member; demonstrated leadership in their field and within the WGR community; or being a champion of WGR programming.

Governor

The Governor's Award is designed to honor an exemplary woman leader who has supported WGR by either becoming an emeritus member; attending events such as the WGR Hall of States event or attending regionally co-hosted events with WGR; or, by supporting and encouraging their staff to participate in WGR.

Governor's Staffer

The Governor's Staff Award is designed to honor a current member of the Governor's staff who is an exemplary leader who has supported WGR by either becoming a WGR member; demonstrated leadership in their field and within the WGR community; or being a champion of WGR programming.

WGR Awards

WGR's annual member awards for: Distinguished Member, Emerging Leader, Outstanding Committee, and Outstanding Task Force. These awards recognize exceptional contributions and leadership within the WGR community and celebrate those who exemplify our mission and values.

Excellence in Advocacy Awards

The Excellence in Advocacy Awards puts the spotlight on everyday advocates who dedicate themselves to representing their issue, cause or organization in the public policy arena. These awards celebrate the dedication and impact of advocates working to advance important causes and policies.

Judy Schneider Fellowship

The Judy Schneider Fellowship is a year-round program aimed at creating the next generation of talented, ethical, savvy, and passionate advocates.

This prestigious fellowship provides emerging leaders with mentorship, professional development, and hands-on experience in advocacy and government relations.
