A new narrowly divided Congress and cash-strapped states will be working on major legislative initiatives to address transportation funding that will have big impacts on the transportation construction industry in 2021 and beyond. Will Congress agree on a budget that fixes the Highway Trust Fund, boost highway investments and support transit formula grants? How will state legislatures address their transportation revenue shortfalls will allocating funding to other pressing demands in their states? How will President-elect Biden Transition Team approach the cross-section between transportation and climate issues?
