Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Summit 

WGR’s annual DEI Summit aims to provide government relations professionals an opportunity to enhance their understanding of what DEI is, a clearer sense of its value, as well as the need for DEI within the government relations field. This year's Summit programming will unpack the key concepts of Ownership, Allyship, and Action, and each day the Summit will offer insights on the actions attendees can take to acknowledge, recognize, and hold one another accountable for authentic DEI work. ALLYSHIP - Listening: The Essential Link Between Voice & Hand

Objectives: Successful dialog requires work! To transcend our differences, we must improve the quality of our communication. It is often the difficult conversations that derail our success. This is usually the result of either hesitation to discuss a sensitive topic, or some level of interpersonal conflict. Left unresolved, it often makes matters worse.

In this interactive session, attendees will learn: critical dialog tools, valuable techniques for working with challenging colleagues and effective approaches to handling difficult situations. Session participants will leave better equipped to strengthen current relationships and bridge tense collaborations that ensure they preserve their personal wellness and remain effective in their project/role.
